Graduate Student William Clark selected for IODP Expedition!

Graduate student William Clark, who is pursuing a Ph.D. within our department (advisor Dr. Becky Totten), has been selected to participate on IODP expedition 379, to the Iberian Margin in Fall/Winter 2022!

The overall aim of the expedition is to recover late Miocene-Pleistocene sediments located offshore Portugal from a range of water depths, to document past changes in water mass structure, and its relation to global climate change. William will be working on board the ship as a micropaleontologist, where he will be studying materials that are being extracted from boreholes being drilled on the ocean floor.

Congratulations to Will for being selected for this fantastic opportunity!!
