Dr. Nick Tew is the 2016 recipient of the America Geosciences Institute (AGI) Ian Campbell Medal. The award is given in recognition “of singular performance in and contribution to the profession of geology. Candidates are measured against the distinguished career of Ian Campbell, whose service to the profession touched virtually every facet of the geosciences.” The medal will be presented at the main awards ceremony in next month’s Geological Society of America Annual Meeting in Denver by 2004 winner and Alabama Professor Emeritus Ernie Mancini.
