Alabama alumnus Will Burke (BS in Geology 2008, MS in Geology 2012) presented MS student Jonathan Riddle and Ph.D. student Rebecca Greenberg $2000 each as winners of the Geosyntec Outstanding Research Paper Awards during the Fall GSAB meeting. Geosyntec sponsors these awards to promote cutting edge research related to the assessment and treatment of chemical contaminants in soil and groundwater. Geosyntec also contributed $500 to each of the students’ advisers’ lab group. We are grateful for Geosyntec’s generosity and support of our outstanding graduate students.
