Ph.D. candidate Christine Bassett chosen as one of AGU’s Voices for Science

Christine Bassett, a Ph.D. candidate in paleoclimatology, was selected as one of the American Geophysical Union’s (AGU) Voices for Science. She is one of 35 scientists selected from a competitive nationwide pool as part of the 2019 class. She will travel for training to Washington DC, then assist AGU in communicating science to the general public, policymakers, and other scientists, and take part in events at the next AGU Fall meeting in San Francisco. UA Geological Sciences alumnus, Bennett Bearden is also a Voice for Science, bringing his expertise in geoscience, law, and policy to this diverse group.
