The Helen Crow Mills and John Carroll Mills Endowed Lectureship supported Dr. Bridget R. Scanlon to give the 2021 Mills Lecture.

Dr. Scanlon is the Senior Research Scientist of the Sustainable Water Program at the University of Texas at Austin and is adjunct graduate faculty in the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Scanlon graduated in Geology from the University of Alabama in 1983.
