The Wallace C. Johnson Geological Sciences Endowed Support Fund was established to provide support to promising DGS students enrolled full-time.
Uses for support are limited to field- and research-related travel expenses (such as field courses, conference travel, fieldwork, etc.), associated with activities supervised by the Department of Geological Sciences faculty. The Johnson Fund is not intended to fund travel that the Department of Geological Sciences faculty supervisors could support using other resources.
For students seeking funding for the field course (GEO 495), applications are accepted during the spring semester. For other field research or education, applications can be submitted year-round.
